Telemedicine Visits Available

I hope this message finds you well. Since March 16, I have transitioned to a telemedicine only practice to reduce unnecessary exposure and spread of COVID-19. Most of the insurance plans I am contracted with will cover telemedicine visits in the same way they would cover an in-person visit. The technology required for telemedicine visits is very user friendly. This is all you need:

- An internet connection and a device with a webcam such as a tablet, smart phone, or computer

-An account in my CHARM patient portal

-A simple download of Zoom, a HIPAA compliant video-conferencing program.

Simple instructions will be sent to you prior to your appointment.

Unfortunately, phone visits are generally not covered by insurers, but they are an option if insurance is not involved.

I do not have the ability to order COVID-19 tests, or treat COVID-19. Please contact your regular primary care providers office, or local hospital, if you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

However, I can continue to offer general naturopathic services during this stressful time. Naturopathic Physicians have some great approaches to addressing digestive issues such as IBS, constipation or diarrhea. With a background in naturopathic counselling and integrative mental health, I can also offer excellent support for anxiety, depression and insomnia. Additionally, there are some great naturopathic treatment options for many women's health conditions, such as PMS or menopause. Many functional lab offerings can be shipped directly to your home for self-collection, if necessary.

Naturopathic Physicians can offer Telemedicine services just to residents of the State(s) they are licensed in. I am currently licensed only in the State of Washington. This does create a bit of a conundrum, as I do have quite a few patients from Oregon in my Walla Walla practice. Until we learn that this licensing requirement is temporarily lifted for Naturopathic Physicians specifically due to this current healthcare crisis, I recommend my Oregon patients seek care from an Oregon licensed provider. Dr. Tanya Hudson was a classmate of mine. She is licensed in Oregon and is set up with telemedicine. She would be a great provider for anyone in Oregon. Her website can be found here:

This is a very trying time for everyone. We are worried about our own health, and the health of our loved ones. We are worried about our financial futures. Many of us are slowing down for the first time in a while. I would be honored to assist you in achieving your health goals during this time of inward focus. I wish you all the very best and hope that we are all on the other side of this very soon.

Blessings and wellness to you and your loved ones,
